The piano is an amazing instrument. Not only does it require immense dexterity to play, but it also produces some of the most elegant music known to man. From Mozart to McCartney, Wagner to Williams, composers have been using it for centuries to delight the ears of all those who listened.
Though some may disagree, it seems unfortunate that many of these beautiful melodies are quite sad or melancholic. They bring both immense joy and darkening sorrow to anyone who hears it. Surely for music to do that, it must really be a work of art, but not everyone likes sad music.
