Japan Does It Again! Check Out These Floating Hotel Rooms

It looks like the country that brought us capsule hotels has something else to offer us! Have you ever wanted to fall asleep on a rowboat, out in the middle of the water? Sure, but that’s kind of dangerous. These hotel rooms give you that experience without as much danger, and with a lot more comfort.

A Japanese-Dutch Experience

The provider of these little rooms is Huis Ten Bosch, a Dutch theme park in Japan (odd combination, I know). Each of the pods has two floors, with the top being the bedroom and the bottom being the bathroom. They can only fit up to four people per pod, so be sure to plan for that if you go. Falling asleep with a view of the clear water sounds like a pleasant experience, don’t you think? There’s even a sunroof, from the looks of it!

Wake Up On An Island!

Above is an aerial picture of Huis Ten Bosch. The whole theme park is situated on islands, so it’s perfect for the floating hotel rooms. Their idea is that hotel guests will wake up washed ashore on one of the park’s many islands! Doesn’t that sound like a dream? Not much information is available yet, but these rooms will likely go for about $266-$355. An experience like this sounds worth it to me.
