There’s An Online Archive Of Every Sacred Text Ever Written

If you’re interested in religion, mythology, and history, you’ll love the Internet Sacred Text Archive. It’s got everything from Christianity, to Confucianism, to Parapsychology, to Tarot – and even more! You can also have all of this information physically if you buy their flash drive. The following are some of the most interesting things I’ve found on the site. Take a look!

Information On UFOs

This section includes historic UFO sightings, information about aliens, accounts of people who claim to have met aliens, and evidence that argues for the existence of aliens and UFOs. There’s also one account of a 19th century medium who claims to have seen psychic visions of Mars. Another reading worth checking out is this series of messages that is supposedly from Ashtar, an alien. Overall, I’d say this section is good for believers and non-believers.

The Necronomicon

Yes, H.P. Lovecraft’s very own Necronomicon is in this collection. This section includes famous works by H.P. Lovecraft (such as The Call of Cthulhu), other sacred texts referenced by Lovecraft in his works, and different versions of the Necronomicon. There’s actually a debate as to whether or not the Necronomicon is real; H.P. Lovecraft doesn’t seem to have actually written one. In fact, other authors are the ones that took up the challenge to write the Necronomicon, some which are listed in this section. If you want to read it, go ahead – it’ll probably be fine. Probably.

Parapsychology

This section includes discussion on psychic powers, telepathy, and clairvoyance. Did you know there was a manual for clairvoyance? Neither did I, but it’s an interesting read. There’s also a record of possible psychic power in Upton Sinclair’s home. If you’re interested in ESP, this section is definitely worth a read.

The Internet Book Of Shadows

This is a collection of old internet posts from the 80s and 90s that are related to Neo-Paganism. These posts contain history, information, spells, and much more. Some of the posts contain somewhat practical information, such as using your dreams to solve problems. There’s also one on what do do if you think you’re being attacked by someone’s magic. I personally think that the online Neo-Pagan subculture is fascinating, so give this one a read if you’re interested.

Sub Rosa

The Sub Rosa section contains pieces based on secret societies and conspiracies, one of those being the Illuminati. Yes, that Illuminati. Most of these pieces are quite old, many coming from before 1900. For example, there’s one about the Bavarian Illuminati possibly being the ones to kick off the French Revolution. There’s also one about a count that may or may not be immortal. Check this one out for sure if you’re interested in conspiracies.
