This Guy Pulled The Ultimate (And Brilliant!) Ruse To Ensure His Resume Got Read

Applying for a job can be difficult. You can spend countless hours writing and fixing your resume and your chances can be slim nonetheless. This guy didn’t want to rely on luck and decided to take matters into his own hands.

Lukas Yla moved from Vilnus, Lithuania, to San Francisco. He had five years of experience as a marketing specialist but he knew that wasn’t enough to get him hired. He pretended to be a food delivery guy and dressed as one.

He would deliver some doughnuts to whoever was in charge of hiring. Inside he put his resume with an interesting note that said, “Most resumes end up in trash. Mine – in your belly.”

You are probably wondering, “Yeah, but did it work?” This approach managed to land him ten interviews. Now that’s marketing at its finest.
