When I was growing up, my family loved to go camping. At the time, I loved it, too. And we camped rough. By that, I mean that more often than not, it was in a tent and we cooked outdoors on a little Coleman stove or on the BBQ grills provided by the campgrounds. When I got a little older, my parents bought a camper trailer that had a lot more of the comforts of home, and at one point, we even had one of those pick-up truck campers that were everywhere in the 1970s and 1980s.
As a kid, it was a lot of fun to me, but these days, I’m a tad older and a bit too accustomed to the comforts of home. I’ve not been camping in years, and to be honest, I don’t see any rough camping trips anywhere in my future. I do enjoy getting out to the woods, but a cabin is more my style at this point in my life. I’ve thought about renting an RV and surprising my husband with a trip. That’s definitely something I can see us doing. And now that I’ve discovered the Volkner Performance Caravan Salon, I’m in love.
The Volkner Performance Caravan Salon Luxury RV
A German company called Volkner Mobil has created this beast of a vehicle and it comes with a cool price tag of just $1.7 million. Suffice to say that I won’t be buying it (even if I win the lottery!), but it’s a lot of fun to browse these amazing RVs, isn’t it? Let’s take a look inside.
An RV With a Built-In Garage
The Performance Caravan is 40-feet long and it’s like staying in a five-star hotel on wheels. First of all, you can bring your Ferrari along with you because it has a built-in garage that has a hydroelectric lift.
There’s a spacious lounge area that seems to seat a lot of folks. Be sure to note the glass case for wine glasses and other dishes in the corner. Also, it has a very spacious bar that runs underneath the window.
It looks like the windshield converts to a big-screen TV when the vehicle is parked. That makes for some fun times with the family!
You can cook your favorite meals in the fully-equipped kitchen.
A wall separates the dining and lounge area from the kitchen area. See the hallway leading to the bedroom?
The bedroom is dreamy with windows on both sides. It appears that one of the windows can be a TV, maybe.
I’m not crazy about the yellow, but apparently, the company will make it custom just for you. With the price tag it has, I imagine so!
It’s a dream to drive, of course.
Another view of a kitchen that looks as fully equipped as the one I have in my house.
The bathroom is heated, and the lights in that shower are gorgeous. It’s a pretty roomy shower for an RV, too.

Now, who’s ready for some camping?
