Animals have no feelings? We’re not so sure about that. When a donkey named Bram passed away, Bram’s friends gathered around his body to say goodbye. Obviously we don’t know exactly what’s going on inside their heads, but it certainly looks (and sounds) like they’re trying to deal with the loss of a close friend.
The owner of the Donkey Farm Foundation, a sanctuary in the Netherlands, explained Bram’s final days to The Dodo…
“Bram lived with us for one and a half year and we nursed him. We gave him all the medication he needed and a lot of love. But there came the day that he could not lay down anymore because of his lungs.”
