It’s hard to believe, but at one time MTV (Music Television) actually played music videos. Long before they got into the reality show racket, MTV was the place to go if you wanted to see the video for a new song. I still recall watching some great videos there back in the day.
MTV went on the air on August 1, 1981, and do you know the first video they showed? It was “Video Killed the Radio Star” by the Buggles. How appropriate.
