A Security Cam Captures The Greatest Delivery Attempt Of All Time

ups delivery driver icy driveway package man

Not all heroes wear capes. Sometimes they wear UPS uniforms. This UPS driver insisted on getting his package delivered and he didn’t let an icy driveway deter him.

Walt Gorczowski, who shot and uploaded the video to YouTube, described the delivery.

“Last week we had an ice storm. My driveway was smooth, wet ice… super slippery. I heard the UPS truck pull up so I opened the garage and told him to just leave the package at the sidewalk and I’d figure out a way to get it, but he insisted on getting it to me. Above and beyond… this guy is awesome.”

We have to agree with Walt. This delivery guy, whoever he is, went above and beyond the call of duty.

UPS commented on the video, saying this.

We’d love to recognize the driver. Please email us the details to help@ups.com

Walt was able to provide the tracking number. Some commenters were alarmed, however, noting that the company shouldn’t even have drivers out on the road in those conditions. UPS had annual revenue of $66.585 billion dollars in 2017. We can see how they’re banking like that if they’re having their drivers deliver packages regardless of the weather conditions.

At any rate, I’m sure Walt appreciated having his package delivered in spite of his icy driveway. I know I’d be grateful, but hey Walt? Give that UPS driver a tip!
