Stepping into unfamiliar territory always brings out our fears and doubts. Learning a new language is a good example. The early stages are always the most challenging. This is why the role of a teacher in this situation is crucial. Strict teachers that abide by discipline may see their students progress, but the class hours can turn into nightmares. On the other hand, the laid-back teachers may allow their students to relax, but major progress may not happen.
Luckily, we have a third category, and the perfect example is present in the video below. In it we see an Indian man teaching English to his students in a small classroom. So far so good. However, his unique technique quickly catches the attention of the viewer. His lessons are accompanied by melodies that turn into contagious chants which are fervently repeated by his students. In addition, his Bollywood dancing further highlights his message. It may seem funny to many viewers, but most importantly it’s fun for these students who seem to enjoy learning the English language. Yes, believe it or not, teachers can be funny and classes can be fun.
The video was released on January 9 and it has gotten over 1.8 million views and over 2000 shares on Facebook, according to Mid-day. Watch it and you’ll understand why this has become a viral video.
