Groom and Best Friends Prepare an Epic Dance Number for the Bride on Their Wedding Day

Surprise wedding dances have been around for decades. Couples get together and learn choreography to fun songs to entertain their guests. However, sometimes the groom and the groomsmen get together and secretly learn some moves unbeknownst to the bride and the wedding party.

Typically, the secretly learned dances are to upbeat songs, and the videos of these slick moves make it to YouTube and go viral. In the case of this groom and groomsmen, they practiced weekly for months before the day of the wedding. The wife-to-be thought he was out bowling rather than practicing with his buddies for a wedding surprise.

How It All Began

Surprise Wedding Dance Entrance

The groom makes a grand entrance to the Lion King theme while being hoisted in the air in his chair and carried in by the groomsmen. The Lion King song fades out, and the groomsmen immediately show off their moves to ‘Single Ladies’ by Beyoncé. You can watch this unfold at minute 0:51. A few seconds later, it will dawn on you that these guys clearly put some work into learning this routine. But it gets even better.

The dancing lads are joined by even more dancers to pull off a rendition of Christina Aguilera’s ‘Candyman.’ By the time LMFAO’s ‘Shuffling’ comes on, you realize these songs are telling a story of the couple from when they first met to the present day.

Surprise Wedding Dance

Hey, Sexy Lady

The sweet and hilarious surprise wedding dance continues to alternate songs in the montage. At minute 3:30, they perform to PSY Gangnam Style’s ‘Hey Sexy Lady.’ Pay close attention at minute 3:57. Now, ever true love story should pay homage to the movie Dirty Dancing. Seemingly knowing this, the dance montage includes a very dramatic lift and a brief airplane through the air at minute 4:40.

You can watch it for yourself below.
