Enjoy some ’80s Nostalgia With This ‘Trekkies in Court’ Scene From ‘Night Court’

One of my favorite sitcoms of all time has to be Night Court. The show was so different from everything else on TV. First, you had the magic-loving Judge Harry Stone played by the hilarious Harry Anderson. Then you had John Larroquette’s Dan Fielding, a sleazy, wise-cracking prosecutor with the hots for the main public defender Christine Sullivan played by Markie Post.

And of course, who could forget about Richard Moll as Nostradamus “Bull” Shannon, the towering bald, goofy bailiff who often stole the show. The story behind Bull’s shaved head is pretty funny. You see, Moll was filming a cheesy sci-fi film called “Metalstorm” when he auditioned, and his role in the movie required him to shave his head. Night Court’s producers liked the look and wanted him to keep it for the show.

One of the best things about the show was all the odd characters who appeared in court involved in some truly bizarre situations. . In this scene, Judge Harry decides a case involving a couple of Trekkies involved in a “brawl” at a Star Trek convention. You can watch the video below.

I always get a kick out of watching clips from classics like Night Court; they really take me back to when I used to watch time on “the big TV” in our living room as a kid. Please be sure to share this classic clip with your friends and family.
