My husband recently got reflective on me, something he doesn’t do all that often. He said, “Did you ever think about how horrible Santa Claus was?” Gobsmacked, I asked him, “What do you mean???” He said, “Think about how he treated Rudolph, and how he banished the less than perfect toys to an island where they couldn’t mar the perfection of Toyland.” I thought about it, and my husband was right.
