I remember when I was a little girl and saw Shirley Temple perform for the first time (on TV, not in person….I’m not that old). I was so heartbroken to learn that she was actually already an old lady!
This little powerhouse of a girl was more than just adorable, though. She had raw talent. She charmed America — and the world — from 1935 through 1938 and was a huge source of comfort as the U.S. recovered from the Great Depression. This video shows just how talented she really was.
