Dogs are some of the funniest creatures on earth. Despite what many cat people think, dogs can be pretty complicated at times. Sure, most of the time, it’s all fun and games, tail wagging, and drools. But, like many of us, dogs can be very protective when it comes to what’s important.
And it’s always funny watching how some dogs are very serious about protecting their toys. I remember getting our dog Sheldon (who we think is a mix of Golden Retriever and Rottweiler) a stuffed squeaky hedgehog. To our surprise, he guarded his prized possession with a passion.
One day he got tired of the cats messing with it and took it outside with him. We’ve not seen it since, and my wife suspects he buried it. The little pup in this video strikes me as being equally committed to his favorite toy. Watch what happens when his owner pretends to mess with his prized Santa toy crankily.
There’s no mistaking what this pup was saying! And then, right after his tough-guy routine, the pup starts whining for his owner to help him down off the bed! I love it!
