Cheerios Took The Bee Off Their Boxes. Here’s Why

General Mills is one of the few companies trying to help eliminate the extinctions of bees. As you may have heard the bees are disappearing at an alarming rate. This is due to multiple reasons, but one of the biggest is common pesticides used in crops all over the US. While General Mills cannot stop what pesticides are used, they can try and provide other sources of pollen for the bees.

They started the “We Need The Bees” campaign with a goal of sending out 100 million wildflower seeds for free to anyone that requested them. Well, they surpassed their own goal and were able to send out 1.5 billion seeds instead.

While they are completely out of seeds to send out you can still go to a store near you and purchase a pack of seeds for very little money. Shout out General Mills for helping to save the bees. You can watch the video below for more information.

And don’t forget we need the bees!
