Hidden Camera Catches Incredible Orangutan

If you are having to blink your eyes a few times before admitting to yourself what’s in that picture up there, then let me help you out: yes, that is an orangutan using a saw.

The BBC show Spy in the Wild apparently takes “realistic” animatronic hairy robots disguised as animals and places hidden cameras inside of them in order to observe animals “in their natural environment.”

Because hairy animatronic apes are natural.

They capture interesting content, such as: mating practices, eating habits, and the animal’s natural ability to creep on objects with which it is not familiar.

This particular ape is showcasing its ability to utilize a saw properly. But that one isn’t a robot.

They’re catching up with us.

But, if the picture above makes you cringe in horror, fear not!  The soothing sounds of David Tennant’s voice wafts you through the video, giving you a padded magic carpet ride through the wonderful world of saw-wielding orangutans.

Natural habitats to come.
