She Kept All the Notes Her Stepdad Used to Give Her While in Middle School, Gives It Back 6 Years Later

Being a great parent has nothing to do with blood, all you need is to provide love and support, and this is what step-father, Brian Sandusky has shown her step-daughter these last ten years. Sophia Wilcox, 21, surprised her step-father by giving him the most heartwarming gift any father could ever get. According to Sophia, her stepdad left inspirational notes at her door during her middle school years, and she kept every last one of them.

Brian has been an important part of Sophia’s life these past ten years. According to her, Brian has always been very supportive and had always tried to brighten her day, which she is very grateful for. In an interview, she said, “He’s been in my life for about 10 years now. He’s a very supportive man and always tries to make me laugh, even on a bad day. He’s changed how I see the world and I’m very grateful for that.”

That’s why on father’s day, Sophia decided to show how much she appreciated her stepdad by giving him back the notes that she got from him. She had all the notes framed and wrapped it up as a surprise for him. On her tweeter post, she wrote: “during middle school, my stepdad used to leave me a note on my door each day to inspire me. well, I kept those notes & It’s been 6 years since then. today I gave him those notes backĀ #HappyFathersDay
