When I first met my husband, he had no familiarity with cats. His parents weren’t animal lovers, and he only had one pet (a dog) the whole time he was growing up. I, on the other hand, have had tons of pets over the years, some of them exotic pets (I’m not proud of this, and I know better now). However, in the last few years, I’ve become more of a “crazy cat lady” and my hubby, much to his surprise, has become a huge cat lover himself. Cats are unique creatures, and we love not just their independent spirits, but also just how seriously they take themselves while at the same time, doing the most hilarious things.

Cats have taught me a lot about life. Some of our cats want to be on top of us all the time, and some want literally nothing to do with us 99 percent of the time. One thing is for sure: cats are super confident creatures and every single cat I’ve ever known has known EXACTLY what he or she wants and they’ll stop at nothing to get it or accomplish their goals. That’s one of the things I love most about cats
