For Jeff Bezos, that has worked. But more than half of the millionaires on our list went to bed at midnight or later. You need to go to bed when you feel like going to bed, although going to bed about the same time every night will help you be more productive in the long run.

In short: people on our list who get up early probably HAVE to get up early. They have offices to go to. If you have flexibility in when you have to get started working, by all means, stay up as late as you want and sleep as late as you want. But…none of our millionaires sleep ’til noon.

When is the best time to get up to build success habits? It’s relative to your body’s needs.

Again, it’s about how many hours of sleep is ideal for you. Consistency is key. Some of our millionaires get up at the crack of dawn, and some get up later. Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian sleeps until 10:00 a.m. but he goes to sleep at 2:00 a.m. I’ll say it again: none of them sleep until noon, so I think we can establish that you need to get up at a “fairly” decent hour.

How many hours you need to sleep is what is the ideal number of hours of sleep for you.

It’s about how many hours of sleep YOU need when you’re building success habits. Martha Stewart claims to sleep only four hours. Apple CEO Tim Cook sleeps about five hours. But most of the successful people on our list got six hours of sleep or more per night. No one sleeps more than eight hours.
