12 Two-Ingredient Slow Cooker Meals That Will Save Your Evenings

In a world that prides double-booked schedules over downtime with family, it’s no wonder fast-food restaurants have made such a profit. Since the 1960s, the United States has seen a massive priority shift from family-friendly meals to time-crunching jobs that impede our ability to be with family and talk over a decent and healthy meal.

So, in an attempt to combat the busy schedules and squeeze as much time in with their families as possible, parents began bringing home dinners they did not have to cook themselves.

But, those are not the only issues plaguing families today. Some families see shifts in their internal dynamic: sometimes both parents acquire jobs, more children are added to the fold, or divorce reigns down on a marriage. Sometimes a stay-at-home mother becomes overwhelmed with her day and prioritizes self-care over the care of her family, and all of these instances see relations back to one familiar emotion: guilt.

Busy people with busy schedules who are trying to provide for themselves and their families somehow begin to believe they have failed their families in a way they can’t put their finger on. Even so, the guilt is still there, and it is hard to abolish.

Well, no more! These two-ingredient crockpot recipes can be dumped into that precious kitchen implement and turned on for a few hours, giving the head chef a piece of mind when it comes to the well-being of their family as well as what they are putting in their bodies.

Say sayonara to fast food dinners and hello to tabletop family meals! Plus, you won’t be spending back-breaking hours standing over a sink while rinsing out pot after pot. Cooking these recipes in a crockpot cuts the number of necessary dishes in half.
