11-Year-Old Girl Sings Andra Day’s Incredibly Difficult ‘Rise Up’ and Breaks Internet

Its been a long since the pandemic hit the world. We believe that this year is bound to spend with surviving, time to reflect and maneuver our priorities in life, discover one’s talent or capability, and of course, spend more time with our dearest family. Guess 2020 is one unique year to make us all reflect and forget how busy the world is. When all are called to stay home, most of us rely on the internet for news and entertainment. Well, more for good vibes videos to forget the challenges brought by the pandemic. Some are bound to be rays of sunshine and uplift our weary souls like this one kid who broke the internet with her angelic and powerful voice.

Liamani, 11 years old, has been a face of hope amid the pandemic. At least that is what she proved in her Andra Day “Rise Up” cover. Personally, Liamani does not seem to be an eleven-year-old kid when she started singing. She sounds beyond her age! Her voice is so sweet and powerful at the same time. Apart from her excellent singing prowess, she looks elegant and simple with her floral dress, no extravagant wearings or make-up- just keeping it simple. Her song choice is very timely to uplift each and everyone’s spirit. She is truly an inspiration to many.

Andra Day’s Rise Up is an R&B song produced in 2015. Andra is an American singer, actress, and songwriter from San Diego, California. The main single, Rise Up is included in Andra Day’s debut album, Cheers to the Fall. In an interview regarding the history of “Rise Up,” Andra admits that she wrote it to remind herself to persevere. In her words,

“to stand up because if you can stand up then you can take the next step, if you can take the next step, you can take the one after that,”
