Susanna Rohm was panic-stricken when she realized that her 12-week-old son, Isaiah, had stopped breathing. The baby became totally unresponsive and went limp.

Unable to locate her cell phone at this critical time, Susanna ran outside her house and began screaming for somebody, anybody to call 911. As it turns out, the only neighbors who heard her were  9-year-old Rocky Hurt and 10-year-old Ethan Wilson. The two boys ran into the Rohm home and noticed the mother was splashing water on the baby’s face.

And then these two brave boys took control of the matter and  guided the terrified mother through infant CPR.

Rocky recalls:

“I told her to push on the baby’s chest five to 10 times with only two fingers, tilt back the baby’s head, plug the baby’s nose and breathe into the baby’s mouth.

The baby was soon breathing again, and Susanna says that the boys’ strength and confidence enabled her to trust them with her son’s life.

As we can see from this example, heroes come in all shapes and sizes. Great work, Rocky and Ethan!
