Bonkers ‘Karen’ Video Shows Irate White Woman Trying to Punch Her Hairdresser

The year 2020 gave us lots of things (some of them good, many of them not so good!), and one thing that seems to have become firmly cemented in one of the wildest years in American history is the Karen video. Yep, that’s right. Women (usually White, but not always) throwing fits in public because they’re so entitled have become a sort of mainstay of American culture. There are certainly probably Karens in other countries, but being a Karen seems to be something that we American women do particularly well, unfortunately. Ugh. As a White American woman, let me just apologize to the entire universe on our behalf.

Anyhow, the absolutely benign name “Karen” has become synonymous with entitled women (again, usually White, but not always). It’s unfair to a lot of the actually incredible Karens I know, but it is what it is. I didn’t invent the trend. However, I’ve been absolutely astonished at some of the stuff I’ve seen in videos. I never imagined that some of these women could behave so badly. Often, it’s because they don’t want to wear a mask when they go into private businesses, but not always. The lady in this video is just nuts on a whole ‘nother level.

We’re not sure what the full context is of this video. She apparently rejected the new stylist in training and felt slighted that her favorite stylist, and the owner of the salon, couldn’t do her hair. She pitched such a fit that the owner/stylist came in and started doing her hair. However, things escalated and went downhill very quickly.

As is often the case with these bonkers videos, the YouTube comments are the best. Lots of folks were calling the businesswoman a “queen” and someone commented on the number of times she said “Robin.” Above all, this woman was a total professional to the very end and even offered to reschedule. And she obviously missed the “This Is Our Happy Place” sign that was hanging on the wall right in front of her. Watch this unbelievable video below.

This business owner was so much nicer than most people (including me) would have been.
