It’s easy to see why most girls want to be a princess. Who wouldn’t want to live the life of Elsa or Belle? Well, a little girl from North Carolina named Ainsley doesn’t seem to be too concerned with castles or fancy clothes. Ainsley is a student at the Holly Springs School of Dance, and during the last few weeks of dance class, the teachers let the girls dress up in costumes.
When ‘Princess Week’ was announced, the teachers expected all the girls to come in their most beautiful princess dresses. But they were all in for a surprise when Ainsley showed up to class as Princess Hot Dog.
As you can see from the hilarious photos, she stood out like a sore thumb (or a hot dog during princess week)
After the photos went viral on Twitter, Ainsley’s father Brandon E. Turner went on his own Twitter account to show some love for his daughter, “No parent is ready to learn that their daughter is trending. #hotdogprincess. Best part is it was all her idea!”
The greatest part about this whole thing? Ainsley actually had on a princess costume underneath the hot dog costume. One of the teachers at the school, Sarah Nativi, explained to Buzzfeed that Ainsley had an important message to share…
“She loves princesses, but she wanted to be original and wear a hot dog costume instead. She wore a princess costume underneath it and said she was a princess on the inside!”
That has to be the most adorable thing I have ever heard. The photos of Ainsley wearing the hot dog costume in class have been shared over 90,000 times on the Best of Tumblr’s Facebook page.
