WATCH: Johnny Cash Did A Hilarious Impersonation Of Elvis

They don’t make them like Johnny anymore. There is no doubt that this man is one of the greatest musicians that ever played country. He is one of the best selling artists of all time and versatile when it comes to genres. Rockabilly, Rock and Roll, Blues, Folk, and the Gospel — he played them all.

There were a huge number of Elvis impersonators out there, and Johnny Cash did his in his own way. In his autobiography, Johnny mentioned that he and Elvis were never close, but that he always admired him. Although this performance is hilarious, Johnny never intended to make fun of Elvis. All that he wanted was to tease the audience a little bit so they could have a good time.

This footage dates to the 1959 tour were Cash was the opening act and Elvis was the headliner. Johnny would walk out and impersonate Elvis and later Elvis would walk out and do Cash. It just was their way of having fun.
