We are just a month away from December, and we can say that this year has been a battlefield. A year she was battling the unseen enemy, the pandemic, and calamities on the side. If I were to choose a tribute song for this year, it would be Rachel Platten’s Fight Song. This song generates positivity that we stand tall amid failures and challenges, keep living, and survive. Platten wrote the Fight Song out of her hurtful experiences. Her journey has been her inspiration to connect and channel her positivity to those striving to achieve their dreams and aspirations.
In Rachel’s words,”‘Fight Song’ was inspired by a lot of experiences that were hurting me, and that was making me feel like maybe I didn’t have a chance in this industry. I wrote it because I needed to remind myself that I believed in myself. No matter what, I still was going to make music, even if it was on a small scale. Even if it was just for me.” A cover of “Fight Song” from The Piano Guys stands out among others. The band is composed of Jon Schmidt, the pianist, Steven Sharp Nelson, the cellist, and Paul Anderson as the videographer. While, the musical band is produced by the famous producer, Al Van Der Beek. The group started covering songs with cello and piano compositions, mostly uploaded on Youtube.
The Piano Guys’ arrangement with their ‘Fight Song’ cover sends good vibes to those who watch. It isn’t just the music that touches one’s heart but the videography too. Set in a landscape in Scotland and Scotsmen playing the bagpipes is such a fantastic twist. The whole production is so mesmerizing and spirit uplifting! Aside from the band’s hit Fight Song cover, they also had a mashup of Coldplay’s Viva La Vida and Taylor Swift’s Love Story.
But for now, you gotta check The Piano Guys’ Rachel Platten cover and feel how heart cleansing it is!
In all aspects of life, you just got to fight and have high spirits!
