Attending a live concert just to see our favorite artist or band perform is such a big event for our fans. It takes months for concerts to be fully set- from the stage setup, arrangements, and even artists’ preparation. What makes a show more fun and exciting is when an artist goes down the crowd and look for someone who they can bring to the stage- for a duet, perhaps? So we can say that not only the artists should make preparations for the concert but the fans too! Because there a is one in a million chance that your admired performer could choose you and drag you for a duet? How does that sound? Very random, eh? One of the lucky ones in a million chances was a 17-year old Junior High School student, Natalie Brown when she was invited by Broadway Superstar Kristin Chenoweth to get on stage for a duet. RIGHT ON THE SPOT.
Kristin and Natalie sing “For Good” from Broadway play called “Wicked.” Wicked is a broadway musical play created by Stephen Schwartz and is based on the book of Winnie Holzman. The story delivers the untold story of the witches Elphaba and Galinda /Glinda of the Land of Oz. The two witches carry a rivalry in their love interest, opposite personalities, and different point of view. On the platform, it can be seen Natalie excitedly approach the stage with a mic standee on the other hand. Kristin happily greeted Natalie with so many pleasantries. Precisely on that day, Natalie’s mom celebrates her birthday, and so they started off singing a “Happy Birthday” song. As they dive into the duet song, the scene where Kristin step aside to give the spotlight to Natalie warms our hearts. She even holds Natalie’s hands in the middle of their duet, as if a mom caring for her daughter. She is undoubtedly a humble queen.
