I spy with my little eye a future Disney prince in style! There’s no other way but up for this brilliant talent. Ladies and gentlemen, here’s Matteo Bocelli once again to make our heart flutter and sweep us off our feet. And this time, he’s bringing a whole orchestra with him to serenade us the Disney way. He released a new official cover of the timeless masterpiece, ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’ by the legendary Elton John. I tell you, I can stare and listen to him all day! There’s definitely a calm surrender going on here just to be with him.
While we have heard the song over and over again for the last 25 years, Matteo’s version still brings a fresh beauty to the nostalgic melody. Not to mention that any Disney music has always been capable of piercing through our hearts, hitting us in the right places of our emotional cores. Speaking of, this rendition is actually part of an upcoming grand album release, Disney Goes Classical, this October. In collaboration with Disney and Decca Records, some of our most beloved fairytale movie theme songs will come to life once more. A line of special guest performers will be singing them together with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for a classical twist.
Even Matteo himself couldn’t help but be thrilled about the project. “I am beyond excited to join this project with Disney. The Lion King is one of the most cherished movies from my childhood and to sing the lead song is truly an honor for me,” he said. The 22-year-old musician also didn’t fail to put the spotlight once more to the world-renowned music icon and the original singer. “Elton John is one of my musical heroes for both his songwriting skills and his unique style. I hope to take some of that influence into the music I’m currently working on which I hope to share with you soon.”
