Aca-scuse-me? Stop whatever you’re doing right now and make way for the Barden Bellas! You read that right, the famous stars of the movie “Pitch Perfect” are here for an epic comeback- and for a good cause. The online reunion of the fictional all-girl, a cappella group, aims to aid UNICEF’s COVID-19 efforts. Anna Kendrick, along with the gals, performed Beyonce’s 2011 hit “Love On Top.” And, you know it; they’re all aca-amazing as ever! Thanks to the Universal Pictures, we’re finally able to hear the angelic voices of these beautiful ladies once more amid a trying situation.
The video started with two familiar faces- the film’s iconic host duo, John and Gail. Portrayed by John Michael Higgins and Elizabeth Banks, it almost feels as if I’m watching a clip from an actual Pitch Perfect movie! Briefly, they’ve introduced the lovely group as they explained the reason for this special act. They noted that a huge chunk of the proceeds from the performance would go to charity, assisting 192 countries in protecting people from the pandemic. This will also be of help to those affected by the gruesome explosion in Beirut, Lebanon.
As you can recall throughout the three “Pitch Perfect” films, the Bellas is a singing team that made it to the top by participating in different singing competitions. These independent women who once were underdogs were finally able to shine and achieve the fame they’ve always deserved. Now, they’re back again to bring light and beauty to the world with their divine melody. Everyone was immediately delighted as the ten singers appeared on the frame. The group was in full force with Hailee Steinfeld, Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Kelley Jakle, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Hana Mae Lee, Alexis Knapp, Shelley Regner, and Chrissie Fit altogether, reliving the musical comedy show.

While the reunion is perfect in all sense, the fans, however, couldn’t help but notice that one Bella was missing. But whatever the reason is for Ester Dean’s absence, we all fervently hope she’s doing ok.
