And I don’t think I’d have to tell you why. Let’s just say I’ve finally found my new favorite morning song to wake up all my sleeping senses. The band’s energy is just way off the roof; I can’t stress enough how much I love it! And I bet you’ll enjoy it as much as I did too. I can’t even stop myself from hitting the replay button over and over again.
The geniuses behind the interesting cover are called Scary Pockets. The remarkable band is from Los Angeles and is made up of the star vocalist Kenton Chen, guitarist Ryan Lerman, drummer Ben Rose, bassist Sam Wilkes, and keyboardist Jack Conte. Together, they’ve created a masterpiece that even the original singer, Alicia Keys, would absolutely love. There’s just a lot going on here. They say some people live for the fortune, some just for the fame or the power. But I’m playing no game; I live for this song version!
Kenton’s playful and silky smooth voice is to die for. And the way he shredded some powerful vocal riffs like their nothing is purely mind-blowing. Anyone else here noticed the mesmerizing “silver platter” line? It just gets me every time. The way they all interact with each other, just enjoying the performance, is so priceless. What else can I say? It’s perfect! And did I mention that the one on the keys, Mr. Conte, is the CEO of Patreon? I couldn’t believe it either! But that’s a story for another day.
