First, you will be taken in by the scenery. The locations for the filming are the Rifflsee Overlook and Nature House in the Pitztal and Kaunertal valleys. Located over 7500 feet above sea level, these stunning mountains slope down into green valleys, setting a natural and peaceful scene.

The video also offers still images of the waterways and gorgeous flowers found in the valleys, giving even more life and color to the scene. The Rifflsee Overlook, which is only reached by a mountain gondola, offers an awe-inspiring view of Rifflsee Lake. The lake is fed by fresh mountain springs and lends significantly to the serenity of the area.

However, the magic would not be complete without Döring and his Pan Flute. The flute gets its name from the Greek god, Pan. He is often depicted with a very similar flute. Instead of different tones being made with your fingers, the Pan Flute is moved side to side. Each of the tubes is a different length, getting bigger as you go. Döring’s flute has about 25 tubes! This creates a beautiful range of tones that draw you further into the video.

Now, it is suggested that you eliminate the other distractions so you can focus on this video. It is best enjoyed when you can take it both the sights and sounds Döring brings to us. Take a look and listen for yourself!

You don’t often hear, “Wow, check out this guy playing his Pan Flute,” but here we are. This beautiful scenery and talented music were what we needed today.
